On September 9, 2026, representatives of Prison Ministry India – Tamil Nadu met Mrs. Andal, Superintendent of Vellore Prison, and Mr. Retina Kumar, Jailor, to discuss the case of Mr. Suresh, who is being considered for premature release.
During the meeting, the team formally submitted a letter requesting that Mr. Suresh be admitted to Kolbe Home upon his release. The proposal aims to provide him with accommodation, care, guidance, and rehabilitation support, especially in light of the challenges he may face in reintegrating into society.
The prison authorities received the letter positively and assured the team that the request would receive the necessary consideration. The meeting highlighted the constructive cooperation between the Prison Department and Prison Ministry in promoting the welfare and rehabilitation of inmates.
