On August 6, 2026, a Dental Camp was successfully conducted at Puzhal Prison–I in collaboration with Ragas Dental College, Uthandi. The camp aimed to improve the oral health and well-being of inmates by providing professional dental consultation and treatment services.

A total of 83 inmates benefited from the camp, receiving essential dental care from a dedicated team of doctors and healthcare professionals. The initiative highlighted the importance of accessible healthcare and preventive treatment within correctional institutions.

Prison Ministry India – Tamil Nadu expressed its sincere gratitude to Sri. Kangaraj, Chairman, Dr. Madan, Head of the Department, and the entire medical team from Ragas Dental College for their generous service and commitment to the welfare of the inmates.

Special thanks were also extended to Sri. Pazhani, DIG of Prisons, Sri. Krishnaaraj, Superintendent of Puzhal Prisons, and the prison staff for their valuable cooperation and support in organizing the programme.

The ministry further acknowledged the presence and contributions of Rev. Fr. Gilbert J., State Coordinator, Rev. Fr. Prakash, Chennai Coordinator, Mr. Jesuraj, State Secretary, the religious sisters, and volunteers whose dedication ensured the successful conduct of the camp.

The Dental Camp served as a meaningful expression of care and compassion, bringing healthy smiles and renewed hope to the inmates of Puzhal Prison–I.
