On July 18, 2026, Prison Ministry India – Chennai, with the blessings of Most Rev. Dr. George Antonysamy, Archbishop of Madras–Mylapore, successfully conducted a Provision Distribution Programme to support the families of inmates facing economic hardships.
Through this initiative, 120 families received essential provision kits. The programme was made possible through the generous sponsorship of various religious congregations and benefactors. The MC Sisters sponsored provision kits for 70 families, while the Irish Presentation Sisters supported 10 families. The remaining 40 families received their provision kits at the Prison Ministry India – Chennai Office.
The programme served as a meaningful expression of solidarity and care, providing practical assistance and encouragement to families affected by incarceration. It also reflected the ministry’s ongoing commitment to standing alongside vulnerable families and helping them navigate challenging circumstances.
