On June 24, 2026, the Tamil Nadu Bishops’ Council (TNBC) organized a one-day seminar on Pastoral Planning at the Laity Formation Centre, Trichy. The seminar provided a valuable platform for Church leaders to reflect on pastoral priorities and strengthen collaborative ministry across the dioceses of Tamil Nadu.
The sessions were moderated by Bishop Jerald Lobo, Chairman of the National Facilitating Committee of the CCBI, who guided the discussions on effective pastoral planning and mission-oriented leadership. The seminar was also attended by Bishop Nazarene Soosai, Secretary General of the TNBC, and Fr. Francis Joseph, Deputy Secretary General of the TNBC.
Participants included the Secretaries of the Regional Commissions and the Coordinators of the Diocesan Commissions representing all 21 dioceses of Tamil Nadu. The gathering encouraged dialogue, sharing of best practices, and the development of coordinated pastoral strategies to strengthen the Church’s mission and outreach throughout the state
